This iteration of our website served us for well over a year. Originally developed using ExpressionEngine, it had to be re-developed into a more static format due to issues with our own database.
ExpressionEngine is extremely database-dependent. It makes database queries all the time for absolutely every operation. Every post, every page, every template, every option — all requires a call to the database to retrieve. Unfortunately, our database provider was not able to handle the load, so we were forced to convert it to a static flat-file structure.
A lot of work was lost in the conversion, which set us back enough that we weren't able to get around to giving ZeroMethod.com a proper design — one that was more fitting of displaying our talents — until a year later.
We began creating the latest design of our website on using WordPress and a theme we appropriately named "Phoenix". It replaces our old design on . With the release of our Phoenix website, our old version is put to rest and is memorialized here.
